A few things you need to know when booking private events at The Gorge White House

• We prefer that larger private events begin in late afternoon (5:30 or later) so that our business may be closed to the general public.  This gives you unrestricted access to all of our facilities and full staff attention!

• All events must conclude no later than 10:00 in the evening due to the Hood River County Noise Ordinance and our own “good neighbor policy”.

• There is a $100 per hour or fraction there of charge for events not concluded by 10:00 pm!

• Alcoholic beverages must be purchased through The Gorge White House.  Not to worry, we have a huge selection of wines and beer.  Always a case discount – even on mixed cases!  We serve beer and wine only.  This is an additional cost.

• Food preparation and service must be done by licensed caterers.  We have a list of local caterers that we can provide you.  We have available a limited cold appetizer /finger food menu by request.  This is an additional cost.

• The west porch facing the patio garden serves as a stage area for announcements or music.  Space is limited and a “rock n roll” type band will not fit in the space!

• Active military members receive a 10 percent discount on the rental fee.  Thank you for your service to our country and the preservation of our freedoms!

• Save 10 percent on your rental fee if you book your event Monday through Thursday on non-holiday week days!

• Remember, we are an outdoor venue and a working farm.

Flowers:

• We have fields of seasonal flowers on site that are available on a u-cut basis.  Make your own bouquets!  Prices vary.

• We can make you custom flower arrangements from your choice of flowers grown in our fields at an agreed upon price.

Other Available Services:

• We can arrange for tent rental or folding chair rental at an additional fee.

• We have dinner place settings (stainless utensils, glass plates and cloth napkins) at a small rental fee of $2.00 per setting.

• Florist services.

Booking:

• Please refer to the calendar link below to see if our facility is available.

• We are available by appointment or private booking in April, May & October on those days that we are normally closed (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

• We are closed for the season from November through March of each year.

Costs do vary depending on what is needed. Generally we charge $15 per person
for the package outlined above. We also have a private room inside our historic home that
accommodates up to 15 people (this room is upstairs and is not handicapped accessible). To reserve

The above package is priced as follows:

Up to 25 guests: $500           26-50 guests: $1000           51-75 guests: $1500

We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate over 75 guests for a wedding or a sit-down dinner event.

Wedding events must be booked through one of our recommended event planners. These women are professional and experienced. Employing a wedding planner can help make sure that your special day goes smoothly and all your needs are expertly taken care of. Christina, Teresa , Heather, Carol or Mari-Beth will work with you and your budget to make sure every detail is handled from the set-up of the ceremony site through cutting the cake!

The Gorge White House is an elegant casual setting in the heart of the Hood River Valley with commanding views of Mt Hood, Mt Adams and the valley’s east hills. Located just 4 miles south of Hood River on the Mt Hood Scenic Byway, The Gorge White House is a historic home on a century old working farm.

Our 100 year old home serves as our tasting room and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is impeccably restored to its original grandeur. Our patio gardens provide a beautiful, fragrant setting. Our flower fields and orchards are magical. Your guests will have use of all of our facilities including the farm stand, gardens, fields, patio and tasting room.
