A Few Things to Know When Booking Private Events at the Gorge White House
  • We prefer that larger private events begin in late afternoon (5:30 or later) so that our business may be closed to the general public.  This gives you unrestricted access to all of our facilities and full staff attention!

  • All events must conclude no later than 10:00 in the evening due to the Hood River County Noise Ordinance and our own “good neighbor policy”.

  • There is a $250 per hour or fraction there of charge for events not concluded by 10:00 pm!

  • Alcoholic beverages must be purchased through The Gorge White House.  Not to worry, we have a huge selection of wines and beer.  Always a case discount – even on mixed cases!  We serve beer and wine only.  This is an additional cost.

  • Food preparation and service must be done by licensed caterers.  We have a list of local caterers that we can provide you.  We have available a limited cold appetizer /finger food menu by request.  This is an additional cost.

  • The west porch facing the patio garden serves as a stage area for announcements or music.  Space is limited and a “rock n roll” type band will not fit in the space!

  • Active military members receive a 10 percent discount on the rental fee.  Thank you for your service to our country and the preservation of our freedoms!

  • Save 10 percent on your rental fee if you book your event Monday through Thursday on non-holiday week days!

  • Remember, we are an outdoor venue and a working farm.

Flowers:

  • We have fields of seasonal flowers on site that are available on a u-cut basis.  Make your own bouquets!  Prices vary.

  • We can make you custom flower arrangements from your choice of flowers grown in our fields at an agreed upon price.

Other Available Services:

  • We can arrange for tent rental or folding chair rental at an additional fee.

  • We have dinner place settings (stainless utensils, glass plates and cloth napkins) at a small rental fee of $5.00 per setting.

  • Florist services.

Booking:

  • Please refer to the calendar link below to see if our facility is available.

  • We are available by appointment or private booking in April, May & October on those days that we are normally closed (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

  • We are closed for the season from November through March of each year.

Costs do vary depending on what is needed.  We also have a private room inside our historic home that
accommodates up to 15 people (this room is upstairs and is not handicapped accessible). To reserve

Weddings
Wedding events must be booked through a professional event planner. The majority of our weddings are destination weddings where the bride and groom are not necessarily familiar with local caterers, musicians, rental businesses, florists and other service providers. A professional planner, whether used for "day of" set up or to manage all the details of your wedding, can help to make sure that your wedding day is less stressful and everything goes according to plan! We have four local planners: Teresa , Heather, Carol or Mari-Beth who can work with you and your budget to make sure every detail is handled from the set-up of the ceremony site through cutting the cake!

We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate over 75 guests for a wedding or a sit-down dinner event.

A typical wedding rental package for up to 75 guests includes:

  • Full use of our facilities including the tasting room, farm stand, patio gardens, picnic tables and flower fields (exclusive use if event begins after 6:00 in the evening)

  • Bridal changing room (upstairs in the home with private bathroom access - available 4 hours prior to the event start time)

  • Ceremony site (folding chair rental at additional cost of $4. per chair)

  • Reception site with bistro tables and chairs for up to 75 guests

  • Bar Station (s)

  • On-site Parking

  • One beverage service tables with linens and flower arrangement

  • One cake service table with linens and flower arrangement

  • One guest sign-in or gift table with linens

  • Coffee service and water service
